Via Veritas Vita

Christ the Way, the Truth, the Life.

PURPOSE

Cornerstone Bible Institute is designed to mature believers in their walk with Christ and aid them in the development of their spiritual gift(s) so that they will be equipped to fulfill their Christian calling.

Ephesians 4:11-12

“To equip the saints for the work of service, to build up the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”

Know: The students Upward Calling to God

Cornerstone Bible Academy is designed to teach believers how to accurately interpret God’s Word and respond in obedience to its inspired teachings: All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work (II Timothy 3;16-17). The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (II Timothy 2:2).

Grow: The students Inward Calling to Self

Cornerstone Bible Academy is designed to encourage believers to guard their hearts as they seek to serve the Lord with gladness while being conformed to the image of Christ. A personal and intimate relationship with Jesus is the key to a healthy spiritual life-style and is necessary for success in the everyday spiritual battles of life. Watch over your heart will all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life (Proverbs 4:23). And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart (Deuteronomy 6:5-6).

Show: The students Outward Calling towards Others

Cornerstone Bible Academy is designed to remind believers that they are ambassadors of Christ Jesus and that the world is a battleground. All true followers of Christ are soldiers entrusted by the Savior with the God given duty of fulfilling their Great Commission. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth (Acts 1:8). Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and he Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19).

Truth in Love

Ephesians 4:15 is a powerful verse that speaks to the importance of speaking the truth in love. It reads, “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”

At first glance, this verse may seem straightforward, but its implications are far-reaching. The apostle Paul, who wrote this letter to the Ephesians, is encouraging believers to speak truthfully and honestly with one another, but to do so in a way that is loving and compassionate. In other words, our words should not be used as weapons to hurt or harm others, but rather as tools to build up and encourage them.
